Scuba Diving tour to Gordon Rocks Galapagos 2024
The diving trip to Gordon Rocks in Galapagos is a very popular site in Galapagos; here you can find several schools of hammerhead sharks, Galapagos sharks, black and white tip sharks, moray eels, eagle rays, and sea lions. Gordon Rocks is made of a crater that is eroded at the top of its cone from which three rocks protrude. It is located off the coast of Santa Cruz Island.

Gordon Rocks Diving Tour Itinerary
You will be brought to the Itabaca Canal, which is 40 minutes from Puerto Ayora. Then you will board a boat that will take you to Gordon Rocks; this trip takes about 20 minutes. It is very easy to distinguish because it has 3 rocks protruding from the sea.
Only intermediate and highly experienced divers with a minimum of 25 dives can do these dives at this dive site as the currents range from moderate to strong.
The diving is carried out around rocks that are submerged at a depth of 30 meters and with a sandy bottom. A favorite place to dive is the center of the crater. Here you can see the hammerhead sharks swimming around.
You can also see coral fish, eagle rays, mobula rays, white tip sharks, sea turtles, octopuses, Galapagos sharks, moray eels, garden eels, and you have the probability of seeing Mola Molas or Sunfish.

cap.
